The distillation occurs in stainless steel and copper stills, followed by aging for nine months in American Oak barrels.
While not technically certified as tequila or mezcal, the Caballito Cerrero Chato Reposado 46 offers a taste profile reminiscent of the unique spirit that made 'Vino de Mezcal de Tequila' famous in the late 19th century.
